Mom's joy

I never thought that I'd be so excited to see a dirty diaper. Allyssa filled a diaper on Monday and then hadn't filled another. This morning, we went to the doctor. They weighed her. With poop in her, she was 13 lbs 14 oz. She is 22 1/2 in tall today. The doctor took her off her iron drops!! And then gave her medicine to help her fill diapers. Yeah! By the time we got home from Harlingen, she felt better! The highlight of my day was, yes, a poopy diaper.

Cold day

Yesterday morning when I woke up it was 49 degrees outside. Here is Allyssa in her cute overalls! Today it was 51 when I woke up. Allyssa gets to wear kahki overalls today! Woohoo!

Carrots

Yesterday we tried carrots for the first time. Allyssa like them and ate all of it! Much better than the peaches of last week. The pieces were too big for her to swallow.

Allyssa's well baby visit

Monday Allyssa had her 4 month well baby visit. She got 3 shots and one oral vaccination. She only had a fever for about 18 hours compared to 5 days last time. She is healthy and doing great. She was 12 lbs 15 oz and 22 inches long, which is normal for a baby of her age!

Allyssa wasn't sure about the first bite of sweet potato, but she decided she likes it!

Great Grandma comes to visit

Grandma was here from Friday afternoon to Monday morning. Allyssa and Grandma had fun playing. Allyssa liked to smile for Grandma and to stand up on Grandma's lap.

Avocado

Allyssa seemed to like avocado when she first tried it on Oct. 6th, but now she is a little unsure. These pictures are from the 6th.

Four Months Old

Just because the box says it is for age 4 month and up, doesn't mean that Allyssa is tall enough for Johnny Jump Up! She loves it though! Do they make this in my size?

Lunch time

Lunch was wonderful! Allyssa ate so well. Just like a pro. The little that looks like is coming out, Daddy got her to eat anyways. We didn't even have to give her another new onesie. She ate about a tablespoon full. Not really sure how much she should eat, but that's as much as we tried. She nursed both before and afterwards. She was so happy when she was eating. She laughed and smiled a lot. Just wish nap time went that well!
