Sleeping

Allyssa slept through the night even for my strict standards last night. She ate at 7:30 and slept until 1:17 then she slept until 7:15. Wow! Amazing baby.

Yellow birds with blue head

Allyssa's shoes

Our friend Katy made these shoes for Allyssa. I kept forgetting to put a picture of Allyssa wearing them on the blog. Here they are! Allyssa loves them. She also likes to take them off her feet and chew on them!

My garden

I planted carrots, peas, and pumpkin in my garden. The pumpkin didn't come up. The peas look great, but have no flowers. This is one of the carrots. They are supposed to be ready. This one is 2 1/2 inches long. It sure was yummy though!

Bathtime - Dec. 16th

Daddy giving Allyssa a bath. Allyssa loves baths. She kicks and laughs.

Christmas Open House

We had an Open House this Sunday to thank the elected officers of the church for all that they do and to celebrate Christmas with them and their families. These are the baskets that Pastor gave each family as a thank you.

Cute baby

Allyssa has taken up sucking her toes and sleeping on her tummy. Here she is taking a nap.

Backyard fun - Dec. 8th

We put Allyssa's swing up on the swingset in the backyard. She loves to play in it. This was the first day that she got to swing in it.

Day at the Park; Dec. 7th

I was scared to go down the slide with Allyssa. I thought that she'd fly out of my arms because I'd go so fast, so I had to try the slide by myself first. It wasn't a fast slide. Allyssa thought it was fun!

Daddy's legs went numb as he played on the swings with Allyssa. She loves to swing though, so he just kept on going!

Allyssa and Aiti

Today I brought the dog in to play with Allyssa. I got Aiti to stay in one area of the kitchen and had her lay down. Then Allyssa grabbed Aiti's jowl. Aiti let her. Then Allyssa tried to pet her tummy and back. Aiti let her. Then Aiti got tired and got up and went to a different part of the kitchen. It was so funny. Allyssa really wanted to keep petting Aiti, but Aiti was done with it. Sorry, no pictures. I was holding Allyssa.

SNOW!!!!

Lots of your blogs say that you have it; we just wanted to let you know that we don't. Yesterday the high was 85.

Dec. 5th Allyssa is 6 months old

At six months old Allyssa can roll over both ways, sit unsupported, she eats rice cereal, oatmeal, bananas, avocados, sweet potato, carrots, pears, peaches, peas, pumpkin, lentils, applesauce, prunes, green beans, and mango. She loves to play "catch baby" and jump in her Johnny-Jumps-Up. She babbles at us and smiles all the time. She sleeps well at night. She lights up when Daddy comes home. She grabs everything in reach and tries to grab everything that is out of reach. She passes things back and forth in her hands and likes to bang on her high chair with her rattle. Her favorite toy is her singing bug which she smiles at.

Christmas fun

Drinking tea

Daddy, I need some tea!

Are you going to drink it all?

I know you finished it! You're tricking me!

YAY! Thanks for the glass!

See the long beak on this bird that was in our yard?
